Warwick City Band is one of the oldest brass bands in Australia. Founded in 1866, the band is now 140 years old. Band Members range in age from eight, to
as old as seventy-five years of age, with as few as eleven members of around forty over 20 years of age. Warwick city band consists of:
- Trombone players,
- Baritone players,
- Euphonium players,
- Tenor horns players,
- BB flat base players,
- EE flat base players,
- B flat cornet players,
- E flat soprano cornet player,
- Flugle Horn player,
- President/ bandmaster.
and is consistently growing in number.
We get together on: Mondays, 7-9pm (practice)
Thursdays, 7-9pm (general meetings) The band's
uniform is a white shirt, black tie, long black trousers, black shoes and socks and a maroon band windcheater in winter. The summer uniform is similar, with the shirts being maroon shirts, and windcheaters are not
required. The band receives funding from many different sources, including the Markets, which are held every Sunday, and the One Stop Window Shop. |
